A new post...finally

I must first say that I never should have stated I was going to be better about posting regularly...cause that has not happened. Work has been a little crazy lately. We are in the process of getting a new computer system installed & we go live tomorrow. We had lots of extra time spent training on top of our regular work.
A computer was the last thing I wanted to see when I got home.

Here are a few pictures of some of my cupboard tops. I just love these houses. I want to buy cupboards just so I can get houses to put on top of them. LOL. They all have lights inside of them but I do not have them plugged in.

I hope everyone is doing well & that a great week is had by all. :)

A few winter friends

Pretty soon it will be time to replace these snowmen with bunnies, eggs & chickies. I got all of these at my favorite prim shop Primitive Treasures. I should just sign my paycheck over when I stop there. I always find waaaaaaay too much that I love.

I am looking forward to the weekend. I am hoping to go junkin', antiquing & just having some "mommy" time. We all need that don't we? I am also planning to have a family day at the children's museum. Hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Snow fun

I hope the new year is off to a good start for everyone. The snow looks like it is here to stay for awhile. The 30 degree temps will feel great this week. My boys had a great time sledding down our driveway today. No fighting, just having fun together. It seems like we don't have many days like that even though there is an 8 year difference between them.

Here are a few of my favorite outdoor displays. We had lots of blowing snow that put a nice white blanket on everything.
I hope everyone had a great holiday season. It is always such a busy time. Now that the holidays are over I can be a little more dedicated to my blog and get some regular posts on here.

A little santa in a crock bowl. I am looking at doing a makeover on this little child's cupboard in the near future. I like the cranberry & green but I just do not love it. I was thinking about primitive blue...??? Any suggestions, ideas or advice? This will be my first makeover!

I found this wonderful old tool box at a local outdoor antique show. I almost passed by it but was drawn to when someone else was looking at it. Boy, I'm glad she didn't take it cause it is one of my favorite pieces. I can't wait to use it for all seasons.

This little table was a birthday gift from my dad. He has great taste(most of the time). It was a nice surprise.

This is my first post & I will be the first to admit that I am not very computer savvy. It is taking me quite a while to figure this whole thing out. It's a good thing today is a snow day & I am stuck at home. My house is clean, kids resting & dinner is underway...there could not be a better time to get my blog started! I have been a silent reader of many blogs for quite sometime so I do believe it is time for me to begin my own. I have really enjoyed reading & browsing through them. There are so many great ideas and beautiful homes.
